Dear My Blog,

I'm sorry that I've been neglecting you... we'll talk soon.  Promise.

Kisses,

OHMYGOD!OHMYGOD!OHMYGOD!

I saw this the other day and died inside (in the ABSOLUTE best way possible).
Yeah, yeah, Lost will be back in January (on my half birthday, if we want to get technical).  That's not what I'm beyond super stoked about... do you see who's right in the middle??? That's right, DESMOND!!! I was so scared that since they were off the island they were going to knock him back out of being a main character, and I just can't live with that!!! As I've said before, if they ever kill him, I'm out!  Best. Character. Ever.

Also, on an almost equally import note, the producers have said that Vincent will make it safe and sound through the end of the series.  Hooray! (Yeah, I get really excited when he pops up in episodes.  And yeah, I cried when they launched the raft and he chased it into the water trying to get to Walt.)

If you haven't seen this yet, you MUST watch it!

While I still can't say I'm a fan (and probably never will), The Fray have found a loophole into my heart by forever linking themselves to the 2 shows I love the most, Scrubs and Lost.  Damn them!  And lets not lie, I teared up the first time I watched it (I am still not over Charlie's death and now Jin's(???) and I'm SUCH a girl about the Penny/Des situation).

Wow, I just nerded out to the max!

Hair metal is good for you

I've come to the realization that I may be the worlds worst blogger.  I'd really like to blog more often and with better content, but those things don't really seem to go hand-in-hand, so I'm content blogging less often if it means I think my blogs are a little less 'blah' (and maybe you, my dear readers (all 5 of you), will think so too).

I've had a lot of things happen in the last 2 weeks that would probably make for decent bloggin' and maybe I'll sit down later and write that blog, but not right now... I'd like to take this opportunity to write a quickie about something else.

Lets be honest, we all saw this coming... hell, I even had the "pleasure" about two years ago of listening to a couple of the tracks from the album, so I knew how bad it was going to be ahead of time... but I hoped- nay!- prayed that some miracle would occur and we'd all be wrong.  All this does is feed to my suspicion that there is no God, or that if there is, he is, in fact, the vengeful, spiteful God of the Old Testament.  So, I guess I'll go ahead and officially say this for the record... Chinese Democracy is shit.  I blame it 100% on Axl (as he is really the only member of the Guns N' Roses we know and love that is still a part of Guns N' Roses).  Wait.  No.  I blame it on his stupid hair... remember when he didn't have his cornrows, or dreads, or whatever the hell they are?  Yeah...GN'R kicked some ass back then.  Yes, he was still a douche, yes, they all were out of their minds fucked up on whatever they could get into their bodies, but they fucking ruled.  They were hair metal at it's best!  Now, not so much.  It makes me sad.  For those of you that know me (or pay attention when you read my blog... you shouldn't, bad idea, it'll make you dumber), you may have gathered that I kinda love GN'R.  I mean, I have a pup named Slash and had a goldfish named Axl Rose (R.I.P. lil' buddy!  Sorry Freddie Mercury gave you the fish AIDS)... Poor Axl is probably rolling in his toilet bowl grave!  Luckily Slash is too much of a spaz to ever know what's going on (plus human Slash will still rock your face off).  And should I ever get married, I fully plan on rocking the wedding dress from "November Rain."  Yeah, I'm that cool.

OK, I feel like I've rambled enough... this whole thing probably could be condensed into a much shorter (as was my intention) blog, i.e. the following two sentences: Chinese Democracy sucks balls.  Fuck you 'new' Axl.

They're real! They're real!

This was originally what I was going to blog about, but I was sidetracked by how awesome I think I am.

Today I walked into the middle of a cute boy meeting!  I was almost starting to believe that they only existed in my head and in legends... it's not true, they're real and I saw it with my own eyes!!!  Like I told Beth, I think you can only find them when you're not looking though, you know, like unicorns and chupacabras.  It was glorious!  I can't even begin to imagine what they were talking about, but lets be honest, it doesn't even matter.  So to you nay sayers I say, believe... and one day you too may find yourself in the middle of a cute boy meeting!

And yes, Beth and Misty, I'm working on a trap to catch some to bring to you both.

And yes again, it kinda sucked cause I had to go to the bathroom, but I was not about to go in front of the gathering.

Because you guys are smarter than MySpace

I had to post this bulletin and I'm hoping that maybe someone here can tell me why I even had to do this in the first place.  Wait... I just answered my own question, it's because I had to be "friends" with little girlies who only know what their parents preach to them while I was out with the Jonas Brothers.  Although, I've noticed that there are other people that this pertains to that I actually considered to be a little smarter.  Oops.  Lets all laugh at them together:

***edit: I actually met a bunch of really rad kids while I was out too... some of whom I still keep in touch with.  And "friends" was meant in the MySpace sense of the word, not like I hated talking to kids everyday... cause I didn't, like I said, many, many rad kids.  Sorry, I felt a little too douchy for a second.***

I'ma 'merican and I like to party!

I was just at a military surplus store (obvs hoarding so as to be more 'merican.  Goddam librals ain't gonna take my guns!  Jokes!!  For work, that place scares the shit out of me)... anyway, they had this bumper sticker up at the front counter that had a picture of Hillary Clinton and said "a woman's place is in the house- just not the White House."  Now, maybe I'm wrong, but I think that's what we call ironic.  So I guess those 'good ol' boys' will be casting their votes for Mr. Obama, right?  Oh, wait... he's black(enough)... and a terrorist.  And Sarah Palin is the only woman crazy enough for conservatives to vote for, because, by God, she sure does love Jesus and shootin animals!  And that, as we all know, is what America is all about.

As you head to the polls

If you're still not sure who to vote for, think about this: who would Dave Grohl vote for?

Well, lets look at the facts:
-The Foo's released the following statement when the McCain camp decided to campaign using "My Hero" without consent: "This isn't the first time the McCain campaign has used a song without making any attempt to get approval or permission from the artist.  It's frustrating and infuriating that someone who claims to speak for the American people would repeatedly show such little respect for creativity and intellectual property.  The saddest thing about this is that 'My Hero' was written as a celebration of the common man and his extraordinary potential.  To have it appropriated without our knowledge and used in a manner that perverts the original sentiment of the lyric just tarnishes the song.  We hope that the McCain campaign will do the right thing and stop using our song- and start asking artists' permission in general!
- Dave spent time campaigning for Kerry during the 2004 elections and it's pretty common knowledge that (at least part of) "In Your Honor" was inspired by the time he spent out campaigning.
- This occured as a response to the Bush campaign using "Times Like These" at rallies... again without artist permission.

Now, I know what you're thinking: "But Joyce, only idiots get their political information from celebrity endorsements."  I agree 100%.  Which is why I only use celebrity endorsements to decide what clothes, shoes, drinks, fast food, watches, perfumes, facial cleansers, make-up, cell phone carriers, and cars I should purchase. And its why you won't actually see an endorsement in the above... I can't actually claim that I know who the Grohlo is voting for, but I've got a hunch.  Perhaps you're wondering why I even bring up the preceding.  It's because Dave Grohl never makes a bad decision... can you think of any?  No, you can't.  Still not sure?
See more Judd Apatow videos at Funny or Die

Exactly.  It doesn't get more American than that.

But if you really feel like you need an endorsement to sway your vote, here you go... I'm voting for Barack Obama and encourage you to do the same.  I'm pretty smart (I just don't always live up to my full potential) and I'm only a celebrity in my own head.

And I promise, if the Democrats make it into the White House they won't send the homosexuals to take away your guns and Bibles for at least a couple of years... they'll be too busy fixing the economy, dealing with the climate/energy crisis, and working on universal health care. :)

One of the reasons my job rules

When people ask what I'm doing I get to say things like "building rockets" and other such awesome things.  For example, this week I get to say I'm building a stadium.  Even when it's not that cool, it sounds interesting.  But usually it is.

One of the things I don't enjoy though is all the painting I end up doing... especially when I get grey or white paint in my hair.  If any of you have been around me when I've found an actual grey hair you surely understand why.  Lets just say that's not a surprise I deal with calmly.  Oh, and it hurts my wrists... but really, lets keep our priorities straight.

On a different note, I made some more cupcakes tonight... chocolate with peanut butter frosting!  I tried the frosting with two different tips, lemme know what you think (I like the star tip, but think I need a larger one... I like the size of the round one, but want to make sure that it looks appetizing).

Pumpkins!

Yesterday my friend Aaron actually convinced me to leave my house... and for Halloween and on a Friday no less!  But I didn't have to dress up (thank God, since every year I have a mild panic attack trying to figure out a costume, generally settling on staying in so that I don't have to make a decision), and my night consisted of sitting at his house... baby steps people.

Anyway, we all carved pumpkins... I spent the first half of my night trying to figure out what I was going to carve into my pumpkin... and then the second half making it happen.  Per usual, I couldn't pick something simple that would only take a short amount of time, no no, that's too easy.  I finally settled on (with a lot of urging on the part of Aaron) my awesome picture... click here too see the original.  I ended up taking probably three times as long (at least) as everyone else to carve mine and I only sliced open one of my fingers!  I was pretty pleased with the result.  Neither of these pictures really show all of the detail, but photographing lit pumpkins is more difficult that I expected.

I always think of like a million things I think would be awesome to blog about, but generally those thoughts occur when I'm either laying in bed and too lazy to get my lappy or when I'm driving or doing something else that's not very conducive to blogging... and by the time I can blog have forgotten what it was that I was positive would make the worlds greatest blog.  Right now it one of those times. I have the memory of a goldfish.  So I'll most likely have to settle for writing a mediocre blog for now.

I've come to the conclusion that the inside of my head is maybe filled with more crazy than I'd like to admit... and when I sleep it magnifies like 100 fold.  I basically have three types of dreams: those that are so scary that I have to force myself to wake up and then generally lay in bed too scared to move for fear that maybe whatever I was dreaming about wasn't actually a dream and I'm about to meet my horrible demise, those that are so vividly real that I don't really remember them being dreams and will at some point in the next few days realize that whatever situation it was didn't actually occur (this has led to many days where I spend half the day furious with my mother for something she didn't do and once a conversation with a friend where she was venting about some dude being a creeper and I told her that she probably shouldn't have slept with him then, only to have her look at me like I was absolutely nuts (as she had not slept with said creeper)... also, there are certain events in my life that I still am not completely sure if occurred or not(nothing big)), and lastly, the dreams that are just plain bizarre.  The following fits into the last category... and a little into the first... but mostly the last:

So, the other night I had this dream that once I woke up couldn't do anything but laugh at what a weirdo I am, but I also think it kinda rules.  I was hanging out with Demi Lovato and we were swimming in the ocean off of Australia.  There are so many things about that alone that are absolutely ridiculous, but I digress... anyway, all of a sudden this big wave starts coming right at us, like huge big, like one of those waves that are the size of tall buildings.  We figure out that if we swim to the other side of what I can only assume was some sort of weird breaker (although it was perpendicular to the direction of the waves so in reality I think that would make a really shitty breaker) we'll be ok.  That's what we do.  Safe.  Whew, that was close.  But then we realize that we're probably still going to get hit with rough waters, so we swim toward land opposite of where we are.  On the way I turn to Demi twice to say something only to see a great white about to attack from below (I don't know if it was the same one both times, but it probably doesn't really matter).  What do I do? I make damn sure I look as much NOT like a seal as possible, duh!  I'm not quite sure how that works, but I think it had something to do with making sure the shark could clearly see my appendages and that they were not those of a yummy seal.  It worked.  I'm assuming this has something to do with the articles I've read that say that sharks don't really like the taste of people and generally only take one bite thinking its something more delicious, but being a giant shark that can be enough to do some major damage and/or death.  The rest of the dream isn't too memorable, nor is it important.  We thrice avoided death... and in situations that I doubt I would handle so well in real life.  And by doubt I mean would not at all.  Like I previously have mentioned, I don't like the ocean for fear of the sharks and their eating of me... that and touching fish.  I also am horrified of drowning.  Basically, I'm kind of a big pussy.  I think the only reason this whole thing didn't leave me horrified upon returning to waking life is that I'm like 99% sure that I don't have to worry about giant waves or shark attacks in my room.

I also want to post this picture because it was the only thing about my morning that didn't fill me with rage:
The rest of the van was covered with a bunch more of those purple dragon decals.  And my favorite part is that somewhere out there the are at least 2 more of these so called "dragon wagons."  Thank God!

For the sleepless this is my reply

Here's a little update on what I've been doing:

I was supposed to work on a movie at the end of this month, but things fell through... kinda freaked for like half a second cause while movies generally pay lower day rates, they're guaranteed work for at least a month or so, which is always nice.  Anyway, like I said, only freaked for half a sec... then picked up work on a Missouri Lottery commercial being directed by Andy Richter.  I'm not gonna lie, that kinda rules!  I've been working on that here and there for the last week and it shoots this week... I'm assuming that after this week Andy and I will be the best of friends... obvs cause we're both hilarious. It makes sense.  Then I go straight into another commercial... I can't remember who it's for, some shitty, cheap beer.  Doesn't matter really, it'll pay well and keep me busy for a minute.  Hopefully something else will come up by the end of that.  I've come to realize that while it always seems like it'll be fun to sit around and do nothing, I get stir crazy really fast... don't get me wrong, if I had enough money to not work for the rest of my life I'd be stoked, but I'd also have money to keep myself busy doing other things.  Which brings me to the other things I've been doing...

Between the end of tour and now I've only picked up a couple jobs, which has left me with a lot of free time... and yes, I've been going a little crazy.  Even more so since Misty moved out, leaving me with no one to talk to most of the time except the dogs (I refuse to leave the house because(except Julie) I pretty much hate everyone in KC).  Don't worry, I actually get out most days, I just don't go out drinking or whatever else it is that social people do (last I checked, in KC it's only drinking).  And I actually feel a lot better for staying away from all of that...

Ok, got of on a slight tangent... what's new.  Anywho, in all of my staying in I've been keeping myself busy with 'old lady' stuff.  Basically, I've been doing a lot of baking, knitting, sewing, etc...  I've pretty much rearranged/cleaned the crap out of every room in my house.  It's almost cute!  And I've been finishing up all of my knitting projects.  Rad scarf finished, pirate sweater (for my nephew) almost there!  I'm not allowed to start anything new until they're all finished... and I accidentally bought some new yarn the other day, so I'm really pushing myself.  As you can see from my last post I've been making cupcakes.  I've been trying to perfect some recipes and I think it's going well.  I think my carrot and pumpkin cupcakes are pretty much there.  And I've been working on one in my head all night that I think is going to be pretty awesome.  I've kind of joked in the past about opening a cupcake store, but in all of my 'trying to figure out what the hell I want to do with my life' I've never really been able to put my finger on what it really is that could keep my attention for a long period of time(don't get me wrong, I really love what I do now, but I'm assuming at some point I'm going to get tired of it, maybe not)... but the more I think about it, I really love baking.  And I enjoy peoples' responses to my baked goods.  I mean, we all know I'm super self-absorbed, but it's a different kind of feeling.  So, I'm giving it more realistic thoughts... who knows, in two weeks I may have moved back onto any of my other crazy ideas, but I'm really trying to put together some realistic, longer term plans and I think I may actually try to pursue this one... but it'll still be a while, assuming someone doesn't randomly throw a large amount of money at me (it hasn't happen thus far, so I'm not banking on it).

Also, as far as future planning goes, I'm making some slight tweaks to my moving plans.  As it stands right now, I'm giving myself a move date of March... sooner if my situation allows, but no later... that's more than enough time to get enough money together to move comfortably (barring any more emergencies).  And I'm not sure of exact location just yet, but somewhere between Northern Orange County and San Diego... If things continue to go well I should be making a trip out to SD semi-soonish and I'm sure I'll be in the OC area to visit the former rommie, so I'll be checking things out then.  Those locations seem to fit me better than the other places I've "almost" moved to in recent times.  I feel like I've really been able to get my head on a little straighter in the last few months and I'm ready to start doing things 100% for myself and not let other people slip in there and screw me up (that probably comes off worse than I mean for it to, but I'm having trouble finding the words to properly express myself).

I think that's all I'll get into right now... there's other stuff going on, but it's not for blogging at this time.

Look what I made!

Yummy cupcakes!!!
Pumpkin with cream cheese icing
And smores brownie cupcakes... they even have a graham cracker crust at the bottom!  I've decided to start baking more again, so I'll be taking requests... and probably gaining like 900 lbs.

Putting it out there

Dear Lost,

You have sucked out my soul.  In its place you've left anger and frustration.  All I really want to know is what the goddamn smoke monster is!  The next time someone asks about it and the response is "I don't know" I'm probably going to burst into a horrible rage blackout and throw my TV out of the front window.  The same applies if anything every happens to my dear Desmond Hume(i.e. the greatest character in the history of EVER)... but in the second scenario I'll also stop watching forever and ever and kill anyone who has ever written for the show... just sayin.  That being said I love you.

My heart belongs to you,
Joyce

P.S. Obviously there are like ten million other questions I would like answered eventually, but they're less pressing.

Rock on young savior, don't give up your hope

I'm really excited about the possibility of something... but I don't want to talk about it too much right now cause I don't want to jinx it.  That's a great thing to blog about, right?  Oh well, its my blog, I can do what I want.  But either way it works out I'm pretty stoked.

I will talk about how obsessed I am with the Genius playlist button on iTunes... I didn't really get it at first, but now its on!  When I read about it it sounded like a good idea, but then I turned it on and saw the thing on the side that told me what other songs I should buy and thought that was it and wasn't overly impressed... thanks for trying to make me spend more money I guess.  But a few days ago I finally found the little button at the top that actually makes a playlist from your library(which is what I thought it was initially)... LOVE IT!!!! Generally I don't really know what I want to listen to and don't feel like going through my entire library trying to figure it out, or I don't want to listen to only one artist but don't feel like making a playlist and shuffle is just too random, so I just listen to the same things I always do.  I'm way into the idea of picking one song that speaks to my mood and then letting the iTunes gods do the rest!  And gods they are cause I have yet to be disappointed with what they choose... I guess that's why it's called the Genius button.   I love finding stuff I forgot I had!!! Also, I love some really shitty music, buts its sooo good and I can't help it!  We won't talk about any of the bands I'm referring to, but I take solace knowing that I have at least one friend for each of my guilty pleasures that would agree with my secret loves (primarily Misty and Jessica, but lets not get into specifics).

On a less awesome note, I don't sleep anymore.  Or at least not before 6 am or so.  I think when Misty moved out she left her insomnia.  Don't like!  Maybe I'm just stressed about things, that should fix itself within the next week or so though, so I'm hoping its that and then I'll be back to normal-ish.

My photo blogs have been lacking

So here are a few from the last few weeks... my friends rule!  And I miss them horribly!  These aren't in chronological order...

Matt came to help Misty move to LA:

And bought us shots of Jager, I will forever hate him for that.

I forgot how much exactly I missed him until he was here... I haven't laughed that much or had such fantastic dance parties since our tour ended.

I don't think I'll ever be able to explain this photo, but know it had something to do with lasers and probably explosions... no joke.

Misty and I decided to go out and do it up "old school" one night... by the end of the night I lost the ability to speak.  Like inside my head I realized that it wasn't going to work and didn't even try.  And I puked in the front yard... and probably the bathroom (not 100% sure).  Mission accomplished.  Misty has been involved in of 95% of the bad decisions I've made in my life (and vice versa), this one I blame all on her.  Oh, and I got quite possibly the most amazing fuck you/blow off from an ex ever that night... I probably would have high-fived him had it not been directed at me.

Britton came up for a couple days (to see Beth):
Misty told us to "do something awesome."  This picture almost was super lame, but I think we saved it at the last second.

Beth is a creeper to the max(coming soon to a background near you)!  And I bore of things...

But I still love her... kinda?

This has nothing to do with anything, but I walked into my room the other day and found that I had the saddest puppies in the whole world... I almost felt bad until I remembered that they're neither abused nor neglected as they would lead you to believe.

And last, Misty and I made Sparks floats.  It's probably one of the better ideas I've had.  I mean, if you like delicious things.  And yes, I drank it with my dolphin straw!

I'd punch a shark in the face...

... for my dogs!  I actually might prefer it to the grand I just dropped getting the bladder stones flushed out of Wrigley's peeps... but then again, I'd probably have to drop that much getting them all fixed back up.  But at least I'd get the satisfaction of saying I got to punch a shark.  And that's probably the only way that'd go down since one of the reasons I don't like being in open water is fear of shark attacks... it's most of the reason I almost had a heart attack when our kayak flipped in Hawaii.

It also reminds me of the time Jim almost punched a bird that attacked us in Baltimore... now is not the time for that story though, but know it was awesome!

Can someone explain this to me...

What's with neck beards? You know the ones... they start right at the jaw line and go down.  I don't get it... I mean, if you're going to go to the trouble of shaving your face, why stop there???  Plus, they look good on no one- NO ONE!  Really, it's just another thing to add to my list of stupid things that people do that I will never understand.

An open letter to my fish

Dear Freddie Mercury,

I'm sorry I took me like 18 years to clean your bowl.  I'm a dick.  I'm also sorry that Axl Rose died before I left for tour this summer and I still haven't bought you a new friend.  Please don't take that to mean that I think he's replaceable, because I know you were the best of friends and that no one will ever take his place in your little fish heart.  But it makes me sad to see you swimming around all by yourself, so one of these days I'll get off my lazy butt and see if I can't find you a suitable new BFF.  Maybe this time be a little more careful though and try not to give your new buddy the fish AIDS... frankly, you're lucky that it's only taken your mustache...

All the best,
Joyce

The Aftermath... still the worlds most hated duo

So... of all of the hate and such that Misty and I have received for deliberately ruining little girls lives all summer, this is by far my fav:

"awee... was misty one of the stupid circus looking chevy girls. Skanky tat's and tramp stamps. So hawt..

which one wore the slutty red heels everyday??"

Obviously, I was the one with the heels.  Everyone knows how good slutty red heels look with neon green!  Also, wearing heels is something I love to do when I'm outside and on my feet all day.

I'm so glad to know that beyond the fact that these girls can't comprehend how a contest actually works and that maybe Misty and I aren't just sent from the fires of hell to ruin their lives, that maybe we're just DOING THE JOBS WE'RE PAID TO DO, that they think we're giant skanks too.  I get it... I mean, we did spend our summers trying to seduce the boys, so we're a giant threat... oh, wait... I'm 25, that's all but appealing to me.

If you need me anytime soon, check the nearest bar... I'll be there with my skanky tats and tramp stamps (yes, multiple), obvs in my red heels... just look for the girls in the corner smoking crack (or cock), that's us... according to my other fav fan.

Snow is colder in space

I found this picture on PerezHilton.com and I can't even begin to express how great it is!  You know, in that "what the fuck?!?" kind of way.  Also, I really like the new single "Human."  I haven't liked most of The Killers recent stuff, so it was a pleasant surprise.  But back to the photo... so good!

It's official

I have some sort of newly developed allergy.  I posted some time ago about my lip swelling up and being super gross.  Since then this has happened two other times.  The second time wasn't nearly as bad as the first, but I caught it pretty early on and downed a bunch of benedryl.  Crisis averted. The third time was today... it was a little different.  About halfway through my day my lip/mouth got super itchy then I could feel it start to swell.  But it was bottom lip this time.  Again, popped the Benedryl and all was right in the world... well, sorta.  I think it might be starting back up.  We'll see.  I have no idea what could have caused this, but I'm not stoked at all.  Something about my mouth swelling up about once a month isn't really very appealing to me.  Thought I'd share.

I won't be leaving my house anytime soon...

This lives by my house... it was on my front porch if we really want to get technical. Gross!  It's really not even that it's gross, but more that it scares the shit out of me.  It kept turning it's creepy head and watching what I was doing (mostly screaming and flailing)! Creeped out to the maxx!!!  Misty's been telling me about the praying mantis that lives on our porch for a few days, but I hadn't seen it.  Also, this isn't the same one... this one is more "pregnant" than the other one... which means this one bit the head off of the other one.  The thought of thousands of baby praying mantises (mantai) totally freaks me out too! I think it's because I don't really know if they're jumpers or what... which is probably most of the reason that it scares me so bad.  I'm not big on things jumping on me, especially when they're scary looking and are known for eating the heads off of things.  Not that I really think that it will eat my head, but you can't be too careful.  Also, did I mention it was the size of a small elephant???  Well, maybe a little smaller...

My new hair

Jessica this is for you... I feel awkward taking pictures of myself, but this one wasn't 100% horrible.  I really like my new cut, I think it's cute/fun.  It may have a lot to do with the fact that I haven't had a haircut in like 3 months, but whatever.

So Good. So Good.

I found this while looking at pictures of hurricane Ike.
If you can't read that it says "Go away Ike Tina ain't here!"  Crapped. My. Pants.

Misty and I are better than pretty much everyone

It's true. And why we're friends.

What?!?

I just needed to get this out... the other day Misty and I went to go see the Dark Knight finally.  Before the movie we stopped into the McDonald's next door to shove some food in our faces.  This happened:
Girl in front of us: I'll take a cheeseburger with no cheese.
Bad enough, right? WRONG!!! Then this came out of her mouth:
Same girl in front of us:... and a hamburger.
I love stupid people so much it hurts!

Recap

So, I guess this is my final day update... I don't really know what all I want to say, but it was a lot of fun.  Hurricane Hanna Montana rained down on us for the first half of the day so Misty and I threw on our rain boots and went puddle jumping.  Sometimes it's what you gotta do.

We decided to watch most of the show since Benji said he was being wheeled out on stage in a bird costume... which he was.  While waiting we were able to witness the Verizon Lovebug sing/dance-along.  Both of which I captured on film... good times.  Also we got to hang out with "hot mom."  Love her... and she brought me and Misty really rad JB/swarovski dog-tag necklaces.  They were prototypes so we have 2 of the only 10 that exist... kind of a cool feeling.

Picture time... maybe it'll better explain.
Matt is obvs scared Misty's going to eat my head... it happens.
I love Benji.
Kinda miss... a little.
Yes.  Just yes.
Kitty is the reason I survived. I no longer know how to feed myself.
Oh, Demi's band...
Matt may be approaching Magnum status.
Perfectly executed photo pop-in (see background)
Matt loves Kyle... more than you.
Hugs for Owen.
I'm not that flexible.
M&G 4 life! We all got tattoos... that's not true
I love Big Rob
Thanks Tony Maloney...

Home

I came home for the first time in 2 months... very weird feeling.  Stoked to see the dogs and I forgot how much I love my house and all the awesome things we own, but its still off.  I will say my shower and bed still rule and it feels nice to have 2 dogs laying against my legs again, but it just feels empty.  I guess that's what happens when you live in such close quarters with so many people.  Last night was amazing, but I still don't have the energy to talk too much about it yet... no sleep + travel all day = ick.  I'll end this post with these pics though to prove that last night ruled... more later, promise!
Very exciting, obviously.

It's over...

I'm pretty sad, but such is life.  And I found out that when the boys go back out I have a job... which makes me ecstatic! That's actually the point in the night where I broke down and cried(first)... not really the kind of tears I expected, but a welcome surprise.  I'm exhausted... mentally and physically, so I will be posting no more for now... but I got some amazing pictures and I'll write more later.

Not ready

I'm really starting to freak out cause tomorrow is our last day and I REALLY don't want to go home... I miss the dogs and the folks a bunch... but that's it.  I've realized that with the exception of a few, the people that matter to me the most have changed drastically in the last year or so and (except Julie) none of them live in KC anymore.  I mean, there's Misty, but she's with me now anyways.

I'm honestly scared I'm going to lose it tomorrow... I'll probably suck it up and pretend to be a big girl all day, then bawl when I get to my hotel room, but either way it's bad news.  I love the people I've met on this tour more than I'll ever be able to say and it's really scary to think that in about 24 hours I'm not going to see them everyday.  I guess that's part of it all and I knew that coming in, but I guess I didn't think I'd meet so many people that mean so much to me.  I'm not excited for this....

I own this!!!

I spent about 5 minutes staring at it before deciding that I absolutely MUST have it! I think I made the right decision.  But I would like to post the entire conversation I had with the 2 wonderfully mustached airbrush stand guys today at the NY fair...
Handlebar: Can I help you?
Me: Probably!
(couple minutes pass)
Me: I'm looking for something in a unicorn...
Handlebar: How bout this? (points to purple unicorn head)
Me: Perfect! I need that in a medium.
Handlebar: What's the name on it?
(Pause debating who is getting such a glorious shirt)
Me: Misty
Blah, blah, blah... payment talk and exchange, etc
.
Handlebar: It'll be about 5 minutes
As I stand there waiting I look at all the other shirts debating whether or not I want the one with the horse racing along the sunset beach.... decide I'll wait until the fair tomorrow to see what they have... glance one last time at all the designs and see one of the most fantastic pieces of American spirit I've ever seen(see above picture).
Me: Umm, I just bought the shirt he's making now, but I think I need something else.
Womb broom: What can I getcha?
Me: I need a number 40 in a small, as is!
Womb broom: Are you sure a small? Stretch it out and make sure.
Me: Yes, a small!
Womb broom: Ok, number 40, as is.
Talk of payment, what I'm doing at the fair, I should tell the Jonas Brothers to play his airbrush booth next year, etc. etc.
Womb broom(handing me my shirts): Here you go! It was nice to chat with someone sane for a minute... you're sane, right?
Me: Haha! Mostly... I try!

I will mention this is what I was wearing while all of this went down, so some of the people on my tour might question the sanity part:
Screw 'em, I think I look fantastic!  My rain boots rule! And yes, that is Patrick Swayze on my shirt... Kid Tokyo Brand... check it out.
