I own this!!!

I spent about 5 minutes staring at it before deciding that I absolutely MUST have it! I think I made the right decision.  But I would like to post the entire conversation I had with the 2 wonderfully mustached airbrush stand guys today at the NY fair...
Handlebar: Can I help you?
Me: Probably!
(couple minutes pass)
Me: I'm looking for something in a unicorn...
Handlebar: How bout this? (points to purple unicorn head)
Me: Perfect! I need that in a medium.
Handlebar: What's the name on it?
(Pause debating who is getting such a glorious shirt)
Me: Misty
Blah, blah, blah... payment talk and exchange, etc
.
Handlebar: It'll be about 5 minutes
As I stand there waiting I look at all the other shirts debating whether or not I want the one with the horse racing along the sunset beach.... decide I'll wait until the fair tomorrow to see what they have... glance one last time at all the designs and see one of the most fantastic pieces of American spirit I've ever seen(see above picture).
Me: Umm, I just bought the shirt he's making now, but I think I need something else.
Womb broom: What can I getcha?
Me: I need a number 40 in a small, as is!
Womb broom: Are you sure a small? Stretch it out and make sure.
Me: Yes, a small!
Womb broom: Ok, number 40, as is.
Talk of payment, what I'm doing at the fair, I should tell the Jonas Brothers to play his airbrush booth next year, etc. etc.
Womb broom(handing me my shirts): Here you go! It was nice to chat with someone sane for a minute... you're sane, right?
Me: Haha! Mostly... I try!

I will mention this is what I was wearing while all of this went down, so some of the people on my tour might question the sanity part:
Screw 'em, I think I look fantastic!  My rain boots rule! And yes, that is Patrick Swayze on my shirt... Kid Tokyo Brand... check it out.

I might puke!

Last night we all went to the Pirates/Cubs game.  Way fun, way drunk!  I love this tour so much!  But I took this picture and I think it's the cutest picture ever, like so cute it makes me sick.  Love it.  Yes, I like that boy a whole lot, lets not talk about it.

Warren is majestical!

I think the picture says all I need to.  But, further proof:
Slight obsession!  In a non-creepy way, I mean.

Leave it to the bros

Lets talk about this:
I was having a pretty shitty day today, we won't get into that right now, when we get our girls up to m&g and Kevin in a super spunky mood goes "hey, I'm Kevin, we haven't met" to Misty and then me... we both laugh and play along... they grab me and go "let's take a picture!" I think they're kidding, which is followed by "we don't have a picture with you guys!" so I jump in, grab the closest 2 Joni, they grab Misty and we take a ridiculous picture... so good! Made me feel better... dumb banter ensued.

I will say my fav for the day was after m&g when they were all playing on the golf carts and Frankie jumped off of one before it stopped, skinning his knee and Joe goes "That's Frankie Jonas. He don't care."  I almost lost it.

Then this happened:

I actually watched the show from right behind the catwalk... so much fun!  I kinda love it. And yes, the foam gun might be my favorite part now... we stood there, looked up at the last minute only to see a certain Jonas with a twinkle in his eye that said we were gonna get it... sometimes that's what happens.

Chevy & Burger King vs. Verizon

Except I have this picture... which arguably is the most important picture right now.  That would be me and Matt in front of Verizon's tent in New Jersey.  Quick back story: Every venue we go to Verizon puts up about 9 million posters all over the venue, that's fine, that really only comes out to about 2 per team member.  So, a few days ago Matt and I are riding around in our golf cart (see corner of picture) hanging our banners (see behind us) and we notice that all of the Verizon kids had gone to lunch leaving their tents unmanned.  Being bored and awesome we decided we'd just hang our banners from their tent... needless to see a "feud" has ensued.  As payback 2 (and I know which ones) moved Misty and my tent from it's location directly next to the porta-potties.  Yes, hilarious, but they will pay...

This is why I don't drink when I'm home

It's 6:10 and I can't sleep anymore... I've been up for the past hour.

I would post the blog(s) I've been meaning to, but I don't have any of my info (pictures, etc.) on my NEW computer.  More on that later.

Grumpy and stuff... I only have myself to blame.  I need to start getting back into my home routine. It's better for oh so many reasons.

How I became the one of the 2 most hated girls in New York

I'm going to make an attempt to explain the things that occurred at our MSG shows... it probably won't do it justice and is going to sound over exaggerated.  I will be the first to admit that 90% of the things I say are maybe more dramatic that the actual situations, but this is NOT one of those times.

Going into these shows Misty and I knew that things would be a little difficult since we weren't allowed our usual set up and that there really wasn't anywhere for us to use as a central location for us to gather our group of girls.  It was decided that what we'd have to do would be to roam around the area and find people with posters for our contest. So, here's the flaw with that: As soon as people spotted us (we're kinda hard to miss in out neon green shirts) they came running over and formed a huge crowd around us.  Because we all know that if they didn't immediately shove their posters in our faces and make sure they were the first of the hoard of girls to do so that there was no way they were going to win and therefore die because they wouldn't get to meet the boys.  Fucking Jombies!  So... Misty and I are standing in the middle of probably about 600 girls who have all gone into mob mode and won't listen to us when we say "don't crowd. You're blocking businesses. Please disperse and we will get to you."  Not going to happen.  We then start getting yelled at by security from all of these businesses telling us we have to get them to move, they're blocking the entire front of Penn Station.  To which I responded to all of them "if you can get them to move, please do. They're not listening to us." No dice.  They don't want to help, just yell.  At this point Misty and I have both gone into mild panic mode and call our sponsor rep on the radio to figure out what to do. He says that if we have enough entries to pull winners to tell them it's done for the day and go inside.  I tell him no way are we making that call, he needs to come out and do it.  I think he thought we were making a big deal out of something not so serious... luckily one of the other sponsors was watching all of this from her hotel window and was able to convey how scary this all was (yay Teeter).  So, he comes out, sees what's going on and says to me "you need to make yourself disappear.  Get out of here and hide."  Since Jessica is with me watching all of this from the sidelines I have to grab her (anyone associated with us at this point is probably not in good standing with the mob), throw my hoodie on, and book it around the back of MSG.  Misty is told the same thing, but being in the middle of the crowd they both have to go in through the main entrance.  As the crowd realizes what's going on they start to chase them up the corridor screaming.  Rad.  Or not, but whatever.  When we all get into the production office we decide that the best plan to get our winners is to call them from a house phone and try to get them to very discretely meet us so we can bring them in.  Too bad girls freak out when they find out they're meeting the boys and draw attention to themselves.  When we try to go out to the lobby to grab them, we see that a decent sized group has formed and that they probably want to kill us.  We attempt to have Jessica and Dayon find our winners, but because of all the madness, we don't really remember what the winners look like.  Fail.  We're able to find 2, but in the process Misty has a run-in with a particularly angry mombie who starts screaming "Chevy sucks!" at her.  Nice... way to be a good role model for your kid.  But that's a whole other issue that I could go on and on about... I won't now though.  We decide that I'll stay down there and try to figure out who our third winner is since I'm slightly less hated... more than likely this is only because I refused to talk to any of them and stood at the top of the ramp trying to be invisible.  Didn't really work, more practice needed.  At one point a guard comes up to tell me there's a group of people that need to talk to me.  I look at them and they all have giant smiles and are waving me down.  I'm not a complete sucker, so I motion for them to hold on, call Dayon on the radio and tell him there's a group that might be our winners, but either way he needs to come talk to him.  Good call, me.  As soon as he gets down to them the smiles turn to rage and I think I got on the walkie and said something along the lines of "not our winners! Abort! Abort!"  Blah, blah, blah... find our third winners and we all head upstairs.  Mild sense of safety occurs for a moment.  These people love us and think we're the greatest people on Earth.  It's nice while it lasts, but it's very hard to unwind from all of that.  I actually bailed with Jessica to go change clothes since everyone outside was looking for us.  We were even able to catch about half the show, but everyone from the tour I ran into wanted to know what we had done because everyone hated us.  Ended up going out after and getting pretty wastey faced.  But it needed to happen... and was only outdone by the next night... and the night after.  So, that's day 1 of 3.

Days 2 and 3 are going to be condensed a little.  Basically I walked to work with my sunglasses on, hair in my face, head down, half expecting to get jumped on the way across the street.  I'm not going to lie, I had a pretty bad panic attack on that block and a half walk... and it didn't really go away at all once I was inside.  Not only is it weird thinking that all these people hate you because of a stupid poster contest, but your employers could potentially fire you because you don't want to risk your life.  Once inside we spend a decent amount of our day figuring out how we're going to make this thing happen.  Its decided (thank god!) that it is not safe for Misty and I to go outside.  Dayon is going to go out and secretly judge the posters and find 3 winners who will be given a number to call at a certain time and we will then meet them somewhere and escort them in.  Super shady from the outside, but we have no other option and it actually worked pretty well...  Mentally, this day was 100 times worse for me.  How I made it through the day without crying is beyond me.  And actually, I may have cried for a minute when I left.... I can't really remember.  Hence, the even more wastey faced night.  But I got to spend it with really rad friends and even got to see a boy that seems to calm me down pretty well.

Day 3 was easier since I was pretty sure we weren't getting fired at this point and also, I just hid out all day.  Misty would not say the same.  Security extra dicked it up that day and made her announce to the 1000+ people that our contest was over for the day and stood by as they knocked down the barricade and chased her down the hall.  Thank god Matt was there and did some blocking for her.  I'm not really sure what I can say about all of that, but super shitty.  So glad its over.  I have some pictures from it I can post at a later time.

And I'll end it all by mentioning that I had the best skate ever the night before all of this went down on the pier at Jones Beach.  Way fun and I def over skated myself, but it was worth it!  And I love my board more and more each day!

Today this happened

I seriously think that may be happiest face I've ever had in a picture!!! It almost makes up for the Pat Sajak snub... I also may have been equally scared as I was happy. AMAZING!!!!

I wanted him to be my new grandpa

Today this was on our meet & greet list:
I checked... the one and only!  Unfortunately it was only his wife and kids that showed, so no run-in, boo!  I will say I was more stoked to possibly meet him than anyone else that's showed up on this tour so far.

My newest obsession

Yesterday I finally bought a skateboard! Hooray!  I have yet to ride it (unless you count around my carpeted hotel room or the 3 feet outside of the mall where I needed assistance getting off of it), but I'm totally stoked.  I'm also thinking that this may be the time where death finally catches up with me... but if not please come visit me in the hospital after I break every bone in my body. K, thanks!  Maybe it won't be as bad as I think.  I had a boy who knows of my clumsiness basically pick it out and say "this is the board you need" and then make sure it was adjusted so that I'm less likely to eat it.  Thanks said boy, so sweet!

Yes it has giant wheels and yes it stands up on it's own!
